Petrified Wood is the result of wood undergoing the process of petrification. Petrified Wood also goes by the name of Agatized Wood.

During the process of petrification, the organic matter of the wood is encapsulated by sedimentary material. The sedimentary material acts as a shield as it hardens around the wood. Ground water eventually washes away the organic wood material, making way for silicates to take their place and mineralize.

The process of transformation that Petrified Wood undergoes is a symbol for transformation, wisdom, strength, and stability.
