Intro to Aragonite 

Aragonite is a soft calcium carbonate crystal that was first named for the 1788 discovery of a deposit in Rio Aragon, Spain. Aragonite forms as a sediment of a chemical deposits of water that is limestone enriched. Deposits of Aragonite have since been found throughout the world, mostly in Mexico, Pakistan, and China. 

Aragonite crystals come in a variety of colors, with each variation of Aragonite often taking on its own healing properties and meaning. Some common variations of Aragonite are White Aragonite, Blue Aragonite, and Brown Aragonite. 

Aragonite is a stone that will often crystallize into orthorhombic crystals given the right environment.
