The Heart Chakra is your foundation for love, compassion, forgiveness and acceptance. It is the deepest part of you that connects to all things - radiating the vibration of universal love.
We are born into this life with our Heart Chakra wide open. We accept and love all beings, regardless of race, religion, culture, views or opinions. We simply radiate love outwards.
But somewhere along the way, the Heart Chakra gets wounded.
Be it family situations, friends, relationships or death, the Heart Chakra can close rather easily, leading to a Heart Chakra imbalance. On the flip side, the Heart Chakra can begin to cling to love and relationships in the fear that they may lose it or there isn’t enough love to support them.
Rose Quartz is such an easy and gentle stone to begin balancing the Heart Chakra. Rose Quartz is a stone of the heart. It is soft, sweet and inspires deep self-love. One thing I’ve learned through my days of energy healing is that we receive the love we give to ourselves. When you can fall more passionately in love with your authentic self, more authentic love can flow easily into your life.

Rose Quartz:
The Crystal of the Heart. Rose Quartz’s soft energy inspires love, compassion and forgiveness. It provides a healing aid for emotional wounds, heartbreak, and self-judgement. Rose Quartz wants nothing more than to provide you with a foundation for universal love so that you may begin to radiate that love back through your Heart Chakra.
Rose Quartz will aid you as you work through trauma in the heart. Heartbreak, grief, and judgement of others and the self.
If you find yourself being overly critical of others, irritable and closed off, Rose Quartz will begin to soften your edges so you can work through these feelings of an under-active Heart Chakra. On the same note, if you find yourself clinging to love or feeling like you need love to survive, Rose Quartz can inspire you to release that attachment and love yourself first.
Energy Healing:
Anyone can practice Reiki/Energy Healing. If you have found that you are experiencing an imbalance in the heart chakra, a simple way to begin to balance is by working with the energy already inside of you.
- Place your Rose Quartz over your heart chakra, on the centre of your chest.
- Place one hand or both over your Rose Quartz
- Begin to visualize energy pulling from the core of the earth into your Heart Chakra
- Now visualize energy pulling from the universe through the top of your head into your Heart Chakra, meeting the earth energy and spinning together in union
- Let this energy radiate outward through your heart, surrounding you in a white, green or pink light
- Bask in this energy as your Heart Chakra balances
Self-Love:
Rose Quartz is a stone of love, and not only love between people but love for the self. You know from the laws of the universe that you get what you give. Energy is always attracting that of like energy. In this form, when you aren’t able to love yourself, what you will attract will be a shadow version of that lack of self-love. Relationships will always begin to show you what you do not want until you tune in and ask for what you do want. And on that note, relationships with other souls will always be offering you a chance to sort through and heal wounds as the people we meet and share relationships with are always mirrors.
Rose Quartz inspires this self-love.
I like to think of crystals as supportive friends. They can’t do the work for you, but they can sure as hell inspire you to start doing the work.
Rose Quartz, with its soft and loving nature, begins to soothe and inspire healing of wounds of the heart. Often what you don’t love about yourself was programmed into your subconscious throughout your life. What your parents said to you, what your friends said or about you, why your exes broke up with you. These wounds embed deeply in the heart chakra. It’s Rose Quartz job as your new best friend to flush out those feelings, soften them and guide you toward self-love.
Self-love isn’t just facials and buying yourself nice things. In fact, those are the lowest versions of self- love in my humble opinion. Self-love is doing the workday in and day out to come to a state of universal love for all things, especially the self.
You are a gift.
Compassion:
Do you find yourself judgemental and irritable? Instantly, if you’re not being real with yourself, you might say no. (Defence mechanism!) But for real, when was the last time you found yourself losing your shit over the slow driver in front of you? When was the last time you were irritated by the lady taking forever at the cash in front of you? Or by Susan and her 7 million questions?
Opportunities for compassion are all around you, all the time. And they are a powerful way to realize what is going on with the heart chakra.
Rose Quartz softens your judgement muscle. It relaxes your irritable rage monster inside. And it begins to show you a new way to live. Remember you get what you think about, so why not use Rose Quartz to get your heart chakra aligned and thinking from a point of universal love.
Forgiveness:
Forgiveness. What a hard topic. It’s a deep shadow for a lot of people.
Rose Quartz softens the heart chakra, as you’ve learned now, and in doing so you may find yourself more easily able to forgive.
Forgiveness is an intoxicating gift to the self. Forgiving not because the person deserves your forgiveness, but because YOU want to feel better.
Forgiveness is intertwined with self-love and both are perks of Rose Quartz work with the heart chakra.
